When James from FixitFingers put the challenge out for makers to create and post their favourite woodworking jigs, I knew exactly what I needed to do. I needed to refresh and remake my Super Simple Single Blade Box Joint Jig, for the new generation of youtube learning woodworkers. Check out the video, then check out the plans!
What do you get when you buy Woodfathers Jig?
- Two Sketchup files
- One saved for Sketchup 2017 (The free, old, version of Sketchup that you install on your computer)
- One saved for Sketchup 2021 (The free, online, browser based version of Sketchup)
- A printable PDF, with Step by Step build plans, that you can take out into the workshop
- A Private & Exclusive, Step by Step, build video, sharing more tips and ideas so you can customise your jig to your needs
Do you need to buy the plans to make the jig? Well, no. I show how the jig works quite clearly, and I still have my original video and free plans from 8 years ago available online. These plans are updated, of much higher quality, and they come with the private build video, but they aren’t a huge departure from the original, they’re just an improvement.
I don’t have a Patreon account, nor Youtube memberships, and I don’t do commission work. I make a small amount of money from advertising. Thewoodfather.com is my hobby so I’m happy to spend money on it, but camera, audio, editing, it adds up. Purchasing these plans is you showing your support, for thewoodfather.com and myself. 🙂
If you like the Jig and the possibilities it gives you, and you can afford it, please think about purchasing the plans.
Once you build it, post a photo or video, (or both!), using #woodfathersjig
I can’t wait to see what you make with this jig!
And finally, if you do make that purchase, well, I just want to say my sincere thanks, I really appreciate it. Thank you.
Cheers,
Mario
